Welcome to Quality Masonry/ Pictou County Stone Ltd.
 Volker Klum is the owner of Quality Masonry.
He started his professional career in 1981 when he took up an apprenticeship as a mason. After becoming a journeyman in 1983, he worked as a mason, a foreman and as a site-engineer on many jobsites in Germany. From 1986 to 1989 he attended nightschool and finished in May 1989 with a Master Mason degree.
In 1991 he started his own construction company, constructing block and stone houses. In 2000 he and his family immigrated to Nova Scotia and in 2001 he started Quality Masonry. Since then he has worked all over the province specializing in natural stone projects.
In 2006 he aquired the sandstone-quarry in Scotsburn and founded Pictou County Stone Ltd..
The quarry and stone-cutting workshop produces stone for landscaping, construction, restauration and special purposes.
The goal of both companies is to provide a high quality service to their customers at a reasonable price and to develop a long term business relationship based on punctuality, reliability and a high quality standard.
